The Finals of the “Road to Japan” Open Mic Competition will be held on September 10th, 2025 (Wednesday), at Atolyein Park Slope, Brooklyn.
This event is co-hosted by the non-profit organization BKStyle and J-Collabo as part of Fashion Week Brooklyn. It continues the mission of providing an open platform for all mic-using performers—including musicians, dancers, and spoken word artists—to showcase their talent in front of a live audience.
After intense preliminary and semi-final rounds, six outstanding artists have made it to the finals: Human Bien (@untilwegetthis), Showji (@showtime24k), Cyrene Renee (@cyrenrenee), Already Late (@werealreadylate), Lydia Jin (@ohhiitslyd), and Thomas Piper (@thomaspiper).
The evening will also feature a special guest performance by Maya Nichole (@realmayanichole).
As with the previous rounds, the winner will earn the opportunity to perform in Tokyo, Japan, in November 2025, along with studio time.
